Kebandungan Village: Sundanese

Hi the backpackers. My name is Taufik. I
want to share the story of one of my favorite tourism object, namely
Kebandungan village. It is located in District Bantarkawung, Brebes
Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. This village is fairly remote in the
middle of the forests and surrounded by large rivers, just really fun
for you who likes adventure or want to retreat. Kebandungan village
predominantly Sundanese. However, caused by it is located on the border
region of Javanese, Sundanese and Javanese culture, assimilate and
acculturate beautifully. That is very Interesting for you guys who want
to observe the interaction of culture, especially Javanese / Sundanese
(the largest tribe in Indonesia). Kebandungan population generally are
friendly, off course we have to keep our manners.

Kebandungan village offers many natural attractions,
ranging from forests that surround the village, rivers, hills, paddy
fields and plantations. My favourite spot was kalitara river flowing in
the west forest. The river is clear blue and the surrounding scattered
sand and small stones like a beach. In addition, I also like the hills
around the north forest, fits really does make a camper there. Another
interesting spot is the Pemali river side (just like a beach too). For
you guys who wish to hunting, can go to the three forests (north, south,
west) to hunting wild boar or birds.

Start interested? Okay, now I want to share the road access
information. There are two paths, overland and river. First, you can go
to one of nearby Cities (Tegal, Purwokerto or Brebes). After that, who
want to go through the land route could go to Bumiayu. About 1.5 hours
from 3 cities, the bus cost about 20,000 IDR. Proceed to
Bangbayang-Bantarwaru-Pengarasan-Kebandungan the village transportation
cost (pick up) around 20,000, IDR. This transportation there until 3 pm.
For the river path, you should go to Kesambi Market, Prupuk Selatan
Village, District of Margasari, Tegal regency with bus cost from Nearby
Cities about 20,000, IDR. Then ride motorcycles (ojek) to Kebandungan,
splitting 3-5 rivers with cost about 25.000 IDR. After that, you can contact the village chief at the
village hall or contact Mr. Jay (tour guide) to get an homestay and tour
guide natural roaming services. Homestay priced about 20,000
IDR/night, meal about 5,000-10,000 IDR. Very cheap! Clear? Okey, anyway
this place is suitable for you guys who want a moment disappeared from
