The Awesome Southern Java Coast of Kebumen

Well, this time I will story about my experience visited Menganti beach, Kebumen. The story is fairly long time and devious just like the track to Menganti beach. Oke, actually I went to Kebumen to followed the extended pleno meeting of Central Java IPM (Muhammadiyah Student Association). So, we were discussed about the XXI grand meeting of Central Java IPM which would be held in the next month at Borobudur, Magelang.

Cause I stayed in Semarang, so I will begin from here. At afternoon, went back from my office, I planned to depart to Kebumen with bus. Suddenly, Sony (IPM partner) invited me to depart with motorcycle. But, after we thinked again, we agree to depart with bus from Sukun bus station. Arif from IPM Batang joined with us.

After the trip more than four hours (5 pm – 9 pm) and also dissapearanced until Banyumas, finally we achieved the right location, SMP M Gombong, Kebumen. That night we completed the pleno meeting and then took a rest.

At the daytime, all of the agenda had finished. The local comitte offered us to visited Menganti beach. I never heard yet about this beach, i just knew about Karangbolong beach. According the local comitte, the location about one-half hours from SMP M Gombong.

We gather with the group driven motorcycle to Menganti beach. We ( I and Sony) chance left behind the group. However we were really did not understand Kebumen area. We asked the old man about the Menganti beach way and the old man answered doubtful, he looked observed our motorcycle. The old man said that the track to the location was fairly dangerous so we recomended to be carefull. The first time, I think the old man to be excessive.

 

In fact, the old man said was true. The track was extreme, up and down, devious, and narrow. On the trip, passed many other tourism object. Ranging from Cave Jatijajar, Cave Petruk, and also Lohgending Beach. After passed Lohgending Beach, we achieved Menganti Beach. If we continuing the trip, we would achieve Ayah Beach. 

The ticket to enter Menganti beach was 5000 IDR. From the main entrance, we served by hills scenery, so felt in the highland. About 300 metres, began seemed the coast and the sea. That was so unique. The beautifull combination between hills and coast, which became the type of Kebumen beach was here.

After satisfied took picture from the hill, we descend to the coast. There were two kind of coast here. First, the having sand coast juts like common coast. Second, the coast with coral reef. We went to the first kind of coast. The black coral reef has the fairly wide plan area, so we could stand there. But, we were forbidden to swam there cause the wave was huge. We know that Menganti beach is direct with Indie Ocean. The hill above the coral reef, built some exotic bamboo huts just like in Caribia or Hawaii. That was cool. Nearby the coral reef, grew some exotic plants. Similar with prehistoric plants in Galapagos islands (hehe). Ok, then we moved to the other coast. The having sad coast. We could sight the hills around the coast.
